These terms govern your use of QuineX, a personal finance app operated by Santiago Alvarez, an individual based in Colombia (“we”, “us”). By using QuineX you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Contact: santiagoxalvarezperalta@gmail.com.

1. What QuineX is

QuineX estimates how long your money could last (your “runway”) based on the balances and movements you provide or connect. QuineX is currently in beta: features may change, and bank connections run in a test environment.

2. Not financial advice

QuineX provides estimates and general information only. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and QuineX is not a bank, lender or financial advisor. Estimates depend on the data available and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Make important decisions with your own judgment and, when needed, a qualified professional.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone accessed your account without permission.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use QuineX to break the law, access other people’s data, interfere with or overload the service, try to bypass its security, or upload content that you don’t have the right to use.

5. Your data

You own the data you enter or import. You allow us to store and process it only to provide QuineX, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.

6. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties, such as Plaid for bank connections. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Price

QuineX is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you will be able to choose whether to subscribe.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using QuineX and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will try to give you notice and a chance to export your data.

9. Disclaimers

QuineX is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that estimates will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make based on QuineX. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under laws that cannot be waived.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use QuineX after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live. QuineX is available worldwide; nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the laws of your country. Some features, like bank connections, are only available in some countries.
